I'm learning. And my loyalty is slipping away.
Been shopping here off and on throughout the years. Lately, it seems Best Buy has leased more and more of its floor space to other companies. Inside there is the high-end TV and stereo store - Magnolia. Right in the middle store each of the wireless carriers have their massive areas - AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc. - with all the latest phones and tablets. Microsoft has taken a large portion of the right side of the store. Apple has their area - but the employees are Best Buy only. So not much actual customer service or knowledge.
Don't stand too long in the TV flat screen area (outside of Magnolia) - you will be asked by Best Buy employees if you need any help. It was the only area that any Best Buy employee will come up to you. The rest are at the Check-Out, Customer Services, Geek Squad areas by the front door entrance.
Service tries, but only occasionally succeeds.
On the left side of the store, the expanded home appliance area is now run by Pacific Sales Kitchen & Home. Lots more high-end dream kitchen displays (Viking, Bosch, etc), floor models (stoves, ovens, dishwashers, stove tops, refrigerators, washers and dryers, microwaves, hoods, etc.) and kitchen appliances (blenders, coffee makers, etc).
Overall, hard to walk around the store because there is so much stuff on the floor plus all the displays. During the weekends this place can get packed with a lot of people browsing and playing with all the electronic goodies.
I moved from the Frisco, Texas area. Didn't usually understand why people have negative impressions of Best Buy.
Can't give enough praise for the help from Greg in computer sales and both of the kind helpful men in geek squad. Thank you so much what a blessing you are to use tech challenged!
The thing is, I'm a reasonable guy and I'm willing to spend money. But they make me feel like a chore even when I'm very easy (need from shelf, pay).
We went in for headphones and an ipad cover. The sales associates were extremely nice and super helpful. They helped us find just the right items by being very patient and answering our questions completely and understandably. Props to Nicholas who showed us a better set of headphones (than the ones we had originally chosen) that were on sale, so we got more headphones for less!
Nice store with typical high Best Buy standards. Huge collection of latest gizmos n electronics. Tried Oculus rift today and it was amazing .
